The Cox, a hybrid offspring of a female fox and a male cheetah, happend semi-natural, as a happy mistake.
A fox cub was accidentally put with the cheetahs in the Zoo, as one of the Jr. zookeepers mistook it for a cheetahs cub.
When they discovered the mistake, a few weeks later, they found that the little fox cub was welcomed with open paws by the mother cheetah, and took care of it as if it was her own cub. The Zookeepers decided not to take away the young female cub, and so she grew up among the cheetahs in the zoo.
When she reached adulthood, the Zookeepers came upon another surprise; she was pregnant, as one of the male cheetahs decided to mate with her, preffering the fox over his own kind. The Hybrid offspring of the two was born perfectly healthy, and proved stronger, faster and fiercer than his parents, having the best qualities of both.
The Zookeepers decided to let the young Cox free into the wild, and put a tracking device on a paw, so they could study this new breed, and discover his natural habitat, it's strengths and capability to survive through natural selection.
The Cox soon proved to be the quickest, most silent killer in the animal world. It can swim, climb trees, run, and can survive long periods of time without water. Thanks to it's dark, thick fox-like fur, and the patterns of a cheetah, it is well camouflaged, and despite it's cute and cuddly look, is one of the most deadly animals alive today.

I'm glad you like it!
Are they real hybrids or just pretend?
Can you imagine; hundreds of years from now they might actually be able to create these in a lab.
And thank you, I did my best to keep it interesting
