Mandala Paper Cutting. by Rose-Ann-Mary-K Mandala Paper Cutting. by Rose-Ann-Mary-K
Since I was a little girl, I loved drawing and colouring Mandala's. But as I now enjoy making paper cuttings, I thought I'd combine the two passions, and see what the outcome is.
I'm quite pleased with the result.

Very impressive work. It has a fresh feeling about the design. Have you thought of selling this through

Thank you so much!
I do not have an Etsy account, however it is for sale!
A gentleman in America wanted to buy it for 70 pounds, but I haven't heard from him in a while.
I therefor kept this particular piece on low profile in case the deal was made, however, as the transaction hasn't taken place, it is still available and I'm happy to sell it.

:) Hope he gets on contact with you. I'm new to the craft, hense why my pieces are more controlled. It has enabled me to get some basic skills in on how to control my knife. I'm just starting a new piece with a collection of leaves. It will be my most challenging piece I've attempted. Have you managed to sell many pieces. I'm hoping to sell more pieces in time.

I do appreciate that you have a lot of interest in your work. Would you like to keep in touch. I love to hear how you get on with that piece.

I finish a piece which I would do again for a commission. This one is for Mum, for Christmas, I just need to find a decent frame for it.

I took the liberty of looking at your work and I really love the layering of paper.
Something I've been planning to do for a while now but never got around to.
I once used that technique to create a world map with lakes and mountains etc, creating depth, but I'd really like to use it in traditional papercuttings.
I have tried papercutting leaves ones, it is all about the texcture and the tree it's coming from. Some types tear really easily, some are hairy which you have to dry first as otherwise the juices come out when you cut into it, and others are very brittle.
It's very difficult to get the balance right. I dried the leaves I used which proved a success, as then they are completely flat.

Let me know how you get on with the leaves as I'm really interested in what you're creating out of it.
I'm currently working on a new piece which has watercolour and papercutting combined, and I've just finished a series of 5 illustrations combining paper cuttings, paper-collage and random selections from magazines.
I love working with paper, It has truelly become my signature move, and I am definitely going to keep experimenting with the medium.
I'd love to stay in contact to see what you get up to. You can find my email on my website, (I'd rather not post it here) :
