I'm quite pleased with the result.

Thank you so much!
I do not have an Etsy account, however it is for sale!
A gentleman in America wanted to buy it for 70 pounds, but I haven't heard from him in a while.
I therefor kept this particular piece on low profile in case the deal was made, however, as the transaction hasn't taken place, it is still available and I'm happy to sell it.
Something I've been planning to do for a while now but never got around to.
I once used that technique to create a world map with lakes and mountains etc, creating depth, but I'd really like to use it in traditional papercuttings.
I have tried papercutting leaves ones, it is all about the texcture and the tree it's coming from. Some types tear really easily, some are hairy which you have to dry first as otherwise the juices come out when you cut into it, and others are very brittle.
It's very difficult to get the balance right. I dried the leaves I used which proved a success, as then they are completely flat.
Let me know how you get on with the leaves as I'm really interested in what you're creating out of it.
I'm currently working on a new piece which has watercolour and papercutting combined, and I've just finished a series of 5 illustrations combining paper cuttings, paper-collage and random selections from magazines.
I love working with paper, It has truelly become my signature move, and I am definitely going to keep experimenting with the medium.
I'd love to stay in contact to see what you get up to. You can find my email on my website, (I'd rather not post it here) : www.AnnemariekeKloosterhof.wordpress.com
Awww! You are being too kind!
But thank you, once again, for the round of applause. hihi!
And that one is amazing!
In future I'll just note down the total amount.
you say it's for sale...how might i go about purchasing it?
Erhm, if you truelly are interested, I don't really work with Paypal or points on Deviantart, as I don't understand them, so probably the easiest thing would be to transfer money onto my bank account via online banking.
Good thing I checked your comment again.
--> Thank you so much! You are very kind!
I'm glad you like this particular piece as well.
That's such an honour! The images surrounding mine are all so amazing, I can't believe I'm inbetween them!
Have a great weekend yourself! And thanks again!
It was quite tricky actually, not to cut whole things apart and let it all fall into pieces. But I mainly just drew out the entire Mandala, made sure the design was correct, and then just cutted away the lines I drew, hoping that I didn't make a mistake.
But everytime I make a paper cutting, and think of maybe using it as a stencil, I'm always afraid I will ruin the paper cutting itself, and it was all for nothing. Because usually I like the "real deal" much better, and find it much more beautiful, than the sprayed version. I can never bring myself to do it.
