Fairytale Illustration: Cinderellaby ~Rose-Ann-Mary-K

Since I haven't done any papercuttings for a while, I decided to start a fairytale-serie, an idea I've been wanting to do for nearly a year, but never had the time to do so.

I wanted to combine the Disney with the original text of the brothers Grimm, which are completely different. As a reference I made a lot of stains, showing how bloody the original stories are, and the two small birds on the carriage is in symbol of the original ending, where the stepsisters eyes get picked out.

I'm planning on doing a lot more fairytales, each in different colours.
